Trunks and #18 Annex

This section of the Gallery is dedicated exclusively to the (in)famous romance postulated in our fanfiction, Dragon Ball Super Z. While the series does not revolve around this unlikely pairing, that's what most people know our fanfics for. Surprisingly, the overwhelming majority of responses have been encouragingly positive.

Why Trunks and #18? Well, Trunks seemed lonely, neither I nor my writing partner, Mirai Bulma, think he's gay, and neither one of us wanted to create a new female to throw at him (it's been done. Repeatedly). So we came up with the idea of resurrecting Juuhachi-gou with total amnesia, effectively giving her a clean slate.

It made a certain amount of sense that, without the memories and programming supplied by Dr. Gero, Juuhachi-gou would come to regret her part in the planet's devastation. (Remember, when given a choice in the "revised" DBZ universe, #18 chose to settle down with Kuririn and live a peaceful life.) Feeling sorry for the lost, confused girl, Bulma took her in--not just out of the goodness of her heart; Bulma determined that having a real live Jinzouningen to study would assist her in completing certain secret projects she was working on. While initially hostile, Trunks began to thaw towards her (he was lonely, she was willing, they spent a lot of time together, and, well...).

To make a long story short (too late!!!), what began as a one-shot PWP (Plot? What plot?) spawned a whole series of related stories. Naturally, any couple, no matter how strange or interesting, isn't enough to base a whole series on, so the Trunks/#18 romance became just another subplot in an expanding and varied storyline. Nowadays the DBSZ stories have something for just about everyone...but the couple featured here remains my personal favorite.

And I think that I could love you... 'Cause you know how to be free... This starving soul must be fed... Yes, they do! ^.^,v.. Every time I think of you, I always catch my breath... What would happen if we kissed? Things are looking up for our favorite couple... *ahem* WELL! ^.~,v.. Just a little strength in our hearts... Mine. So there. ^.^,v.. I don't know what happened, but it must have HURT. -.-;; Go on...go on...KISS HER!! \^o^/ Okay, who's next? A studio portrait? Well... Come to mama, Murasakige... Pocket Goddess? ^.~ Wonder what THEY'RE smirking about? Quiet time... All up in the air...
